In addition to administering Payroll Giving schemes, Charitable Giving operates Options accounts for both employers and employees. These were previously known as Voucher Accounts and have been re-branded to reflect the fact that they allow you “to keep your options open”.
Quite simply, an Options account is a facility whereby money can be held until the holder decides to which charity or charities donations should be made. Deposits can be made from both pre-tax (i.e. Payroll Giving) and post-tax income as well as company profits and you have the option of making donations at any time
These accounts are a convenient place to collect funds until they are to be distributed; they do not accrue interest and they can be managed on-line
